Originally from Denmark, Torkil Gudnason has been living in New York since 1978 where he has worked as a fashion, fine art and still life photographer across four decades. Long, dark Danish winters as child explain his fascination with vibrant and exotic colours, something that can be seen as a thread running through his long and varied career that has seen him exhibit in the US and internationally. Torkil’s approach willfully brings art photography to the world of advertising and can be seen in work for Vogue Italia and campaigns for Guerlain and Lexus.
