Linus Ricard

Swedish-born Linus is an artist, video director and photographer based in Paris. In 2004 Linus moved to the 798 Art District in Beijing where he worked and exhibited alongside the likes of Ai Weiwei. During his time there, and after having bought a visa on the black market, Linus’ first solo exhibition (containing nudity) was visited by ten police officers and quickly closed down.

The time in China was where Linus set his artistic identity, and he was there in the culturally important period that saw Beijing host the 2008 Olympics. The rebellious yet somehow innocent vision of that time still influences his photographic work for the fashion industry.

In 2009 Linus moved to Paris where he currently resides working with Vogue, Ines De La Fressange, Flaunt Magazine and Repetto. In September 2016 Linus exhibited alongside Sophie Calle in the Matin, midi et soir  show at Honoré Visconti.
